NASA PUNCH Mission
A heliophysics dance-science educational film and follow along activity rooted in the kinesthetic learning approach.
Dancing Up a Solar Storm
Dancing Up a Solar Storm is a kinesthetic learning tool created in collaboration with the NASA PUNCH Mission outreach and science teams. It is a 15minute follow along art-science activity geared towards young learners.
For this film, I created simplified movements and tasks that embody phenomena related to the Sun and solar storms. Throughout the film, the science is expressed alongside a movement idea to emulate. I collaborated with educators and scientists to make sure this was appropriately vetted, and sourced scientific and solar visuals from science collaborators, as well as public domain entities.
